Warranty period and eligible products

The voluntary Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty applies to the original purchaser of an eligible PegGrid structural component. A covered defect must become apparent while that purchaser continues to own that original component.

For this warranty, “lifetime” means the period during which the original purchaser owns the original eligible structural component. It ends when the component is transferred, disposed of or replaced. It does not mean that a product will remain free from normal wear or environmental deterioration indefinitely.

Eligible structural components are the Main Grid or Extension Grid frame, grid panel, base and supplied structural joining components identified as covered at purchase. Accessories, shelves, hooks, baskets, rails, lighting, electrical items, coatings and cosmetic finishes are excluded unless PegGrid expressly identifies them as covered in writing.

What this warranty covers

PegGrid warrants eligible structural components against defects in materials and workmanship when the product is correctly assembled, used and maintained in accordance with the current instructions in a domestic setting.

How to make a claim

Contact PegGrid using the details above. Provide proof of purchase, your order number if available, a description of the issue and clear photos or video. Do not return a bulky product until PegGrid confirms the assessment, return or collection steps.

PegGrid may reasonably request further information, inspect the product or ask for the affected component to be made available for assessment. A customer does not lose rights under Australian Consumer Law merely because original packaging is unavailable.

Claim expenses

Contact PegGrid before incurring freight or inspection costs. For an accepted claim under this voluntary warranty, PegGrid will arrange collection or reimburse reasonable, documented claim expenses approved in advance. If a product is confirmed to have a problem under Australian Consumer Law, PegGrid will meet the return obligations required by law, including collecting or paying the reasonable cost of returning a large, heavy or difficult-to-remove product.

Remedies under this warranty

If PegGrid accepts a claim under this voluntary warranty, PegGrid may repair or replace the affected component, supply an equivalent component, or provide another remedy agreed with the customer. Availability, colour and design may change; any replacement will be reasonably equivalent where the original is unavailable.

These voluntary remedies do not limit a consumer’s right to choose a refund or replacement for a major failure, or any other remedy required by law.

What this voluntary warranty does not cover

  • Normal wear, cosmetic marks, fading, finish changes or surface corrosion that is not caused by a defect in materials or workmanship.
  • Deterioration caused by weather, moisture, salt, chemicals, direct sunlight, unsuitable storage or neglect.
  • Incorrect or incomplete assembly, failure to follow instructions, use on an unsuitable surface, overloading or use outside published limits.
  • Alteration, drilling, cutting, repainting, unauthorised repair, accident, misuse, impact or use with incompatible third-party parts.
  • Commercial, rental, public, outdoor or other non-domestic use unless PegGrid has approved that use in writing.
  • Products acquired second-hand or transferred from the original purchaser.

These exclusions apply only to this voluntary warranty. They do not exclude, restrict or modify rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
